Join the No Cuts to Care Coalition on April 14 to oppose cuts to IFHP refugee healthcare.
The federal government has cut 15% of the Interim Federal Health Program and introduced unaffordable co-payments for essentials like medication, mental health, and vision care. These changes begin May 1, 2026 and will immediately harm refugees.
Co-payments are a denial of care. Many refugees already struggle to afford basic needs—these costs will prevent access to care, worsen health outcomes, and increase pressure on hospitals. These cuts will cost more, not less.
